Wooden Product
Tips to handle with wooden product
1. Clean it regularly. Small dust add up to scratch your product surface. Clean it weekly with a soft, lint-free cloth (old cotton t-shirt works great). Stay away from Pledge and other dust polish. Instead, lightly wet a cloth or use a microfiber cloth that will hold on tightly to dust particles on its own.
2. (Kitchenware) Always hand wash wooden product with soap and warm water. Unfortunately, the harsh cleaning agent would damage the wood. It is not dishwasher safe either.
3. Solid woods have life - it expands and shrinks in variance of temperature and humidity. Get it away from microwave, oven or area that moisture or temperature change rapidly. Any water drops should be wiped away immediately.
3. For long terms caring work, rubbing the surface with wax. You can use that cotton old t shirt we mentioned and use the wax to polish it. Let it air dry for next time use. That could prevent dry out / cracking. Do it few years at once is great.
4. For long terms (Kitchenware), rubbing the surface with food grade mineral oil (not vegetable oils and not the painted surface). You can use a microfiber or simply with your fingers. Let it air dry for next time use. That could prevent dry out / cracking.
5. Don’t let it die out by putting it under bright light.
